Support for CAMI Workers
Synopsis
Yotru partnered with the London Regional Action Centre to provide free resume support to workers affected by the Accuride closure, helping them prepare for new opportunities.
Yotru is working with Unifor Local 88 Action Centre to support workers affected at the CAMI plant. As part of this effort, CAMI workers have free access to the Yotru resume builder to create professional resumes and cover letters. Free CAMI Resume Workshop
We are offering a free 30-minute Google Meet workshop for all affected CAMI workers.
In this session, you’ll learn how to:
- Build a job-ready, ATS-compliant resume in minutes
- Upload and improve your existing resume (or create one from scratch if you don’t have one)
- Optimize your resume so recruiters see the skills and experience they actually care about
- Understand ATS systems and why they’re critical in today’s job search
- Customize your resume for specific jobs and instantly generate tailored cover letters using Yotru
At the end, our team will answer any questions you may have.
Workshop Details
📅 Date: October 9th
🕚 Time: 11:00 AM
📍 Location: Google Meet. It’s best to join from a desktop computer in a quiet place, but Google Meet also works on phones and tablets.

What the Giveaway Was About
Yotru hosted a giveaway for the latest Apple AirPods 4 to encourage CAMI workers to refresh their resumes.
How to Enter:
- Build your resume on Yotru with your Unifor 88 code
- All participants with a final resume score of 70%+ by October 31 will qualify
- All qualifying resumes will be entered into a draw, and the winner will be announced in November 2025. Stay tuned.
Rules:
- Open to CAMI workers only (Unifor 88 code required)
- One entry per person, no purchase necessary
- Winner must respond within 72 hours or another will be chosen
- Prize not redeemable for cash; pickup at Unifor 88 Action Center
Why ATS Scores Matter
The ATS score is not just a contest requirement—it is a key part of your job search. An Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is the software many employers use to filter resumes before they reach a recruiter.
Yotru calculates an ATS score for every resume, based on:
- Clear section headers (Experience, Education, Skills)
- Proper formatting for scanning
- Relevant keywords from job postings
- Overall readability and clarity
A score of 70% or higher means your resume has a strong chance of making it past the ATS and into the hands of a hiring manager.
How to Check Your Score
- Finish your resume, then click the Stats button on the Yotru resume builder
- Click Refresh to generate your latest score.
- If your score is 70% or higher, you qualify for the contest.
- If it is lower, return to the Editor. Improvement suggestions are included with your score to help you reach the threshold.
