Overview

Vigour Marketing helps personal training, yoga and pilates studios in the Netherlands get new members, and a studio only pays for intakes that actually turn up. Its owner, Teunis Dekker, wanted to reach studio owners who never answer a cold email.

Yotru found the studios, wrote a card to each owner by first name and studio name, and printed and delivered 359 of them through PostNL in October 2026. Every card carried its own QR code, so every scan told Teunis which studio was looking. 6.5% of the owners scanned, and the conversations that followed earned the campaign back 12 times over: a 1,200% return.

The challenge

Studio owners spend their day on the floor, not in their inbox. Cold emails and DMs about getting more members go unread, and when one does land there is no way to tell who is actually interested before you pick up the phone.

The solution

  • Selected 227 personal training studios and 132 yoga and pilates studios across the Netherlands.
  • Wrote every card to the owner by first name and studio name, with Vigour's offer: you only pay for intakes that turn up.
  • Gave every card its own QR code, so each scan belonged to one studio.
  • Printed the cards and handed them to PostNL through Yotru.

The result

  • 359 personal cards delivered to studio owners.
  • 6.5% of the owners scanned their card.
  • The campaign earned back 12 times what it cost, a 1,200% return.
  • Every scan showed which studio was looking, so Teunis could follow up straight after it.
  • The follow-up calls turned into very good conversations, with owners who already knew what the card was about.

Teunis Dekker

Owner, Vigour Marketing

“The studios that scanned the card, I could follow up straight away. That gave me really good conversations: they had just read the card, so they knew exactly what I was calling about.”

A card with the owner's name on it

Every card opened with the owner's first name and their studio: "Mark, here's how we help PT Studio Sterk get new members." Below it, Vigour's offer in one line: you only pay for intakes that turn up.

Teunis is on the front himself, so the owner sees who is behind the card before they scan it.

Scanned, then called

Each QR belonged to one studio. When an owner scanned, Teunis saw which studio it was and could call while the card was still in front of them.

So he was not working through a cold list. He was calling people who had just read his offer.
