A personalized postcard campaign with Yotru costs between $2.07 and $1.05 USD per card for mail to the United States, and between $2.95 and $1.50 CAD per card for mail within Canada, depending on volume. That price includes design, personalized copy, a unique QR code with scan alerts, printing and postage. A campaign of 500 cards in the US costs $700 USD in cards. Your full budget should also cover list work, the offer itself and your team's follow-up time. See the current Yotru pricing.
The more useful question is what a qualified lead or a booked meeting costs. This guide covers both: the price of the cards and the math that tells you whether the campaign pays off. For the full campaign process, start with how to generate leads with postcards.

Yotru postcard prices
Prices are per card, excluding tax, and fall as volume rises. Orders start at 100 cards. US and Canadian mailings are priced separately in their own currency.
Mailing to the United States (USD)
| Cards | Per card | Total |
|---|---|---|
| 100 | $2.07 | $207 |
| 200 | $1.74 | $348 |
| 500 | $1.40 | $700 |
| 1,000 | $1.23 | $1,230 |

Mailing within Canada (CAD)
| Cards | Per card | Total |
|---|---|---|
| 100 | $2.95 | $295 |
| 200 | $2.48 | $495 |
| 500 | $1.99 | $995 |
| 1,000 | $1.75 | $1,750 |
| 2,500 | $1.60 | $3,995 |
| 5,000 | $1.50 | $7,500 |
For more than 5,000 cards, or if you'd like Yotru to run the whole campaign for you, pricing is quoted separately.
What changes the cost
- Volume: the per-card price drops as the order grows, but only mail more if the extra recipients are real fits.
- Country: postage differs, so US and Canadian mailings are priced separately.
- Card size: larger formats cost more to print and mail. See when a jumbo postcard is worth the extra cost.
- Number of contacts and waves: mailing two people at each account, twice, means four cards per account.
- List work: a messy existing list can need extra cleanup before it's ready to mail.
- The offer: a free sample or discount has its own cost per response.
Example budgets
These examples use the US prices above and assume each wave is ordered separately.
| Campaign | Cards | Card cost (USD) |
|---|---|---|
| Local test: 200 nearby offices, one card each | 200 | $348 |
| Win-back: 500 past customers, one card | 500 | $700 |
| B2B outreach: 250 accounts, two contacts each, two waves of 500 | 1,000 | $1,400 |
| Regional campaign: 1,000 businesses, one card, one order | 1,000 | $1,230 |
Notice the last two rows: the same 1,000 cards cost less in one order than in two orders of 500. If your plan allows, grouping volume lowers the per-card price. For B2B budgets built around account counts, see what a B2B direct mail campaign costs for 100, 500 and 1,000 accounts.
How to calculate cost per response, lead and meeting
Start with the total campaign cost, not just the cards. Add the card cost, any list work, the cost of the offer and a fair estimate of your team's follow-up time. Then divide by each result:
| Metric | Formula |
|---|---|
| Cost per response | Total cost ÷ people who scanned, called or replied |
| Cost per qualified lead | Total cost ÷ responses that fit your criteria and want a next step |
| Cost per booked meeting | Total cost ÷ meetings booked (or held) |
| Cost per customer | Total cost ÷ new or returning customers won |
A worked example
The numbers below are made up to show the math. They are not a benchmark or a prediction of your results.
- 500 cards to the US: $700. Follow-up time: about $500. Total cost: $1,200 USD.
- If 25 people respond, cost per response is $48.
- If 10 of them are qualified leads, cost per qualified lead is $120.
- If 5 book a meeting, cost per meeting is $240.
- If 1 becomes a customer, cost per customer is $1,200.
Whether $1,200 per customer is good depends entirely on what a customer is worth to you. To record these numbers reliably, see how to track leads and sales from postcards, and for the full return calculation, B2B direct mail ROI.
Work out your break-even point first
Before you mail, decide how many customers the campaign needs to win to pay for itself. Take the gross profit from an average new customer in their first year, then divide your total campaign cost by it.
For example, if a new client brings $4,000 USD in first-year gross profit and the campaign costs $1,200, one customer covers the campaign three times over. If a customer brings $150 in profit, you'd need eight customers just to break even, which tells you to tighten the list, cut the card count or choose a different channel.
How to lower cost per lead without cutting corners
- Tighten the list before increasing volume. See how to build a targeted mailing list.
- Use a stronger, more specific offer rather than a bigger discount.
- Follow up with every scan the same day; slow follow-up wastes paid-for interest.
- Stop mailing accounts that have responded, booked or declined.
- Group waves into larger orders when your timing allows.
When a postcard campaign is worth the cost
Postcards make financial sense when a customer is worth several hundred dollars or more, the recipients can be identified in advance and your team can follow up. That covers most B2B sales, professional and home services, and local businesses selling to offices. If your average order is small and your audience is anonymous, digital channels are usually cheaper per lead. Isn't direct mail expensive? compares the options.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a postcard marketing campaign cost?
With Yotru, cards cost $2.07 to $1.05 USD each for US mail and $2.95 to $1.50 CAD each for Canadian mail, depending on volume, including design, personalization, QR tracking, printing and postage. Add your offer and follow-up time for the full budget.
How much does it cost to send 100 postcards?
With Yotru, 100 cards cost $207 USD for US mail or $295 CAD for mail within Canada, excluding tax. 100 cards is the minimum order.
Is postage included in postcard pricing?
With Yotru, yes. Printing, postage and tracking are all included in the per-card price. With other providers, check whether postage is quoted separately.
What is a good cost per lead for direct mail?
There's no universal number. A good cost per lead is one that leaves a profit after your close rate and customer value. Work out your break-even cost per customer, then work backward to the cost per lead you can afford.
Are there hidden costs in a postcard campaign?
The costs people most often forget are their own: the offer, follow-up time and any list cleanup. Yotru has no subscription, and the per-card price covers design through postage.
Is it cheaper to send more postcards?
The price per card falls with volume, but mailing people who don't fit raises your cost per qualified lead. Increase volume only once you know the list and offer work.
How do I calculate ROI on a postcard campaign?
Subtract total campaign cost from the gross profit of customers won, then divide by total cost. Use a fixed window, such as 90 days or a year, and count only customers you can trace back to the campaign.
Prices are in USD for mailings to the United States and in CAD for mailings within Canada, excluding tax, as listed on the Yotru pricing page in October 2026. Local pricing may differ.
