2,000+ postcards, every one with a name

This week our own October campaign went out: more than 2,000 postcards to real estate agents, staffing agencies, recruitment firms, online stores, furniture stores, bike shops and marketing agencies in the Netherlands. Not a single card is addressed to 'the management'. Every card has a name, and behind every card is a page of its own.

We send for ourselves exactly the way we send for customers. Everything we offer runs on our own business first, from the list to the delivery.

One of the bags from the batch: stacks of cards with a rubber band around them, the bulk mail form inside and the yellow PostNL sticker on top.

The work is in the list

Before anything is printed, every recipient goes through the same checks:

  • We find the person who actually makes the call, not a general department.
  • Every address is checked against the BAG, the official Dutch address register. If in doubt, it's out.
  • Chains, duplicate addresses and companies whose website stopped working long ago are dropped.
  • Every recipient gets a personal page with their own QR code.

From the printer to PostNL

Bundled in sealed bags, the whole batch went to the PostNL Business Counter as bulk mail. There it was scanned and taken over, and within a few working days everything lands on the mat, at businesses and at people's homes.

What the recipient finds on the mat

A sturdy card that opens with their own first name, one concrete reason to reply, and a QR code to a page made just for them. When someone scans, we see it right away. Those are the people we call first, and that conversation doesn't start cold.

The next batches are ready

Over the coming weeks, more campaigns go out, this time for customers. Exactly the same way: the right people, one card per person in the customer's own branding.
