Team Yotru
You worked hard. You got good grades. You landed great internships. You’ve been applying every day to jobs that fit your background.
But still... nothing. No interviews. No callbacks. Just silence.
Sound familiar?
One of our users shared this recently:
“I graduated top of my class from a top Canadian university. I interned at TD and RBC. I’ve done well in trading competitions and have solid data projects. I apply to at least five entry-level jobs every day. I even get referrals. But I’m still not getting interviews.”
This story is way more common than you think. Let’s talk about what’s going on and how to fix it.
A nice layout is not enough. Your resume needs to do two things:
The problem? Most resumes sound the same. They list tasks, not impact. They’re full of buzzwords but say very little. If yours doesn’t tell your story clearly and quickly, it’s going to be skipped.
What to do:
That means your resume is doing something right. But once you get to the interview, things fall apart.
In our example, the user said:
“I pass the recruiter call, but I struggle when talking to the actual team. I think it’s because I’m not really excited about the jobs.”
That’s a big one. If you’re not interested, the hiring team will notice. People want to hire teammates who care about the work.
What to do:
Just because a job says “entry-level” doesn’t mean it is. Many roles expect 1–3 years of experience, even for juniors. If you’re applying to jobs that want more than you have, you might be getting filtered out early.
What to do:
The job market is tough right now. Thousands of qualified people are applying to the same jobs. The “spray and pray” method of applying to everything just doesn’t work like it used to.
What to do:
Here’s a simple plan:
