How do I mail personal messages to prospects who requested a quote but never bought?

Pull the quotes that were sent but never accepted, mail each prospect a short personalized postcard that references their quote, and give them an easy way to ask a question or restart the conversation through a unique QR code. Sign it from the person who prepared the quote, and call once the card has had time to arrive.

The Yotru answer

Unanswered quotes are some of the warmest leads a business has. The prospect took the time to ask, then something got in the way: timing, budget, a question they never asked, or another supplier. A personal card from the person who quoted them, referencing the project, gives them an easy way back in.

How clients ask it

  • How do I follow up on quotes that never turned into orders?
  • What do I send a prospect who went quiet after a quote?
  • Is a postcard a good way to chase an open quote?

Timing by quote age

Quote ageWhat the card should do
A few weeksCheck in: any questions on the quote?
A few monthsAsk whether the project is still on, and offer to update the quote
Six months or moreReintroduce yourself with something new and offer a fresh quote

What to write

Name the project or what they asked about, make it easy to ask a question, and keep the tone helpful. For example: "Hi James, we sent you a quote for [project] in March. If anything changed, or you have a question we didn't answer, scan to book a quick call. Happy to update the numbers."

How we look at it at Yotru

We'd export open quotes from your CRM or quoting tool, group them by age, and write a version for each group. The person who prepared the quote signs the card and makes the follow-up call. Anyone who scans gets called first.
